In my work I focus on addressing the blocks and challenges you describe and on assisting you to access and develop skills for good psychological health. My goal is that, by the end of treatment, you will have a good understanding of how to maintain your achievements yourself.
I am skilled in a range of therapeutic approaches and have Specialist Endorsement as a Clinical and a Counselling Psychologist. This means that I have completed a Masters in psychology and eligibility requirements for specialist title which include six years of University training followed by two years of supervised practice. In addition I have completed a clinical diploma in hypnosis and a doctorate in Psychology. I am a full member of the Australian Psychological Society, registered to practice with Medicare, Health Funds and the National Professionals Board.
I have worked with all types of human issues: from self esteem and depression to self-harm, serious trauma and interpersonal violence. I see people as innately functional and psychological wellbeing as a critical component for the maintenance of happiness and good health functioning. My aim is to provide a safe, respectful and warm environment for you to explore your issues and gain resolution as we work collaboratively together. Areas of my work include:
