Clinical Psychology

Clinical Psychologists use the science of behaviour/psychology to understand, prevent and relieve psychologically-based distress, promote wellbeing and personal development.

Unlike general psychologists, clinical psychologists have university-supervised clinical training at masters or doctorate level. They have a strong background in research and are able to provide and promote evidence-based treatments and their evaluation.

Clinical Psychologists are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and follow a code of ethics to ensure high standards of professional practice.
